Matthew began his career as a financial advisor at Bank of America, Merrill Lynch in Chicago in 2016. After serving clients in the suburbs of Chicago for five years, he moved to Naples, Fla., where he worked with Fidelity Investments for three years.
Through his years of experience with the large Wall Street firms, Matthew grew to feel strongly that clients deserve a much higher level of service, unrestricted investment choice, and more intricate financial planning than what they were being offered.
His commitment to client service led Matthew to Valley Oak, where as an independent advisor he acts as a fiduciary for his clients and conducts business the way that best serves the people who entrust him with their financial future. He also appreciates the ability to collaborate with the CPAs of Valley Oak Financial to provide guidance to his clients on even the most complex tax and planning situations, which he believes essential to their financial success.
Matthew is a Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC™) designee, which focuses on social security, investing upon entering and during retirement, the design of optimal retirement income streams. He is also completing work to become a Certified Private Wealth Advisor (CPWA®) practitioner, expanding his knowledge of and facility with issues related to behavioral finance, family dynamics, advanced tax and estate planning, risk management and asset protection, the transition of family wealth, financial planning for executives and business owners, and charitable giving.
Matthew is committed to community service. He is a member of the Collier Community Foundation Professional Advisors Council and volunteers with The Ronald McDonald House of Southwest Florida and the First Tee of Collier County.
Matthew is a loving husband to Jessica and a role model to their twin daughters Anastazja and Aurelia. Matthew enjoys playing golf, watching hockey, reading, and being on the beach.
