Overview:
The Senior Tax Accountant role is responsible for fulfilling compliance and tax preparation related projects, as well as provide high-level advisory and planning services, while actively managing, retaining, and growing client engagements.

Our niche is working with business owners to create a customized plan to lower income taxes, optimize personal wealth, and minimize wealth transfers.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors or master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related program
- Active CPA accreditation
- 2+ years’ experience in Public Accounting
Qualities and Characteristics:
For the Senior Tax Accountant to be successful they should need to display not only a comprehension of technical knowledge but also the ability to work with clients and staff in a way that elevates the firm’s values. This person should have at least 2 years’ experience in tax preparation, bookkeeping, and payroll processing. They should have an exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
Functional Responsibilities:
- Proficient at preparing and completing individual tax returns
- Proficient at preparing and completing S Corp, Partnership, C Corp, Estate and Trust tax returns
- Proficient in Ultra Tax, Fixed Asset Solutions, and Practice CS
- Must have a sense of urgency to complete tasks timely
- Ability to manage work flow with minimal supervision
- Proficient in researching tax related questions and problem solving before elevating issues
- Actively involved in client meetings and the ability to communicate with clients regularly via email and video conferences
- Supervisor and reviewer of accounting staff and work performed by accounting staff
- Training of accounting staff for bookkeeping, return preparation, and other processes and procedures
- Collaboration with administrative staff for initial client onboarding and engagement renewal
- Preparation and collaboration with Executive Team on all high-level returns and tax planning
- Main point of client contact for questions and issue resolution
Location:
Full-time, hybrid, remote, or onsite position based on location.
